Baptism Prep Team This group works with families to prepare for the upcoming Baptism of a child. They help them to understand the true meaning of Baptism and to prepare for the Baptism Ceremony.
Pro-Life This group works to perpetuate the Pro-Life movement by stressing the dignity of all human life, from conception to natural death, within our parish. They make the parishioners aware of ongoing outside activities that they could participate in to help the movement. The yearly trip to the Washington, DC rally for pro-life is an example of the type of activities they sponsor
Rite Of Christian Initiation (R.C.I.A.) This ministry works with people who are interested in becoming members of the Catholic faith or those Baptized who never received the sacraments of Eucharist and Confirmation. This ministry works to instruct and form these people over a period of several months, culminating with their full reception into the Catholic faith at the Easter Vigil reach year.
Religious Education at Our Lady of Hope Parish brings students closer to Christ and supports the faith journey in the family and the community setting. It is also designed to promote the love of God through participation in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass and frequent reception of the Sacraments and to serve God and His Church by teaching scripture, tradition, and church doctrine at age appropriate levels. We are a teaching ministry, which has a missionary nature in that we go forth to teach, preach, love and serve the Lord and each other. To see our large variety of Youth and Adult offerings, visit the Faith Formation Page.
Vocations Ministry The purpose of the Vocations Ministry is to continuously bring to the attention of the parish community the necessity of praying for vocations. They also stress the need to encourage vocations to the priesthood and religious life (sisters and brothers) within the parish community, providing support to parishioners who believe God is calling them to serve as a priest or religious brother or sister.
Youth Ministry The Youth Group of Our Lady of Hope Parish, YOUNG HOPE, is made up of high-school age teens who GATHER, PRAY, and learn to SERVE in a fun and enjoyable atmosphere. For additional information, Visit the YOUNG HOPE webpage.
